About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Architect with strong hands-on Data Engineering experience to lead the design and implementation of a modern data architecture from scratch for a strategic client project.
This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data platforms that support Business Intelligence, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence initiatives, and AI agent-based systems. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Databricks and modern data architectures, along with experience building enterprise-grade data solutions in cloud environments.

Responsabilities

• Design and implement modern data architectures using Databricks as the core platform.
• Build and manage scalable Data Lakes, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data integration processes.
• Develop solutions for processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
• Design data models optimized for analytics, BI, and AI-driven applications.
• Implement data ingestion, transformation, and data quality processes.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and cost efficiency of Databricks workloads and pipelines.
• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to enable datasets and pipelines for intelligent agents and AI systems.
• Define and implement data engineering standards, governance, and best practices.
• Integrate multiple data sources through APIs, databases, and external systems — including clinical and financial systems in the healthcare sector (EHR, RCM, billing).
• Implement monitoring, observability, and automation for data processes.
• Support BI and analytics teams with reliable and scalable data solutions.
• Document architectures, pipelines, and technical processes with sufficient clarity for both technical and executive audiences.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Architecture and Data Engineering roles, with real and demonstrable hands-on practice in both disciplines.
• Strong hands-on and production-level experience with Databricks.
• Proven experience designing and implementing Data Lakes and modern data architectures.
• Strong expertise in SQL and Python for data engineering.
• Experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Solid knowledge of Apache Spark and distributed data processing.
• Experience handling large-scale datasets.
• Strong understanding of data modeling for analytics and BI.
• Experience working in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and modern development workflows.
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced startup environments.
• The candidate must be equally comfortable leading an architecture design session and executing production data pipelines — both activities are permanent and of equal value in this role.
