Title: Senior Security Engineer Location: Toronto, ON Duration: 06-12 months Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer to join our team. This role involves providing expert support and management of Fortinet firewalls and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network security and a strong understanding of firewall operations and security compliance. Required Skills & Qualifications • Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience as a Network Security Engineer with Fortinet Firewall Support. • Hands-on experience with Fortinet security products, primarily FortiGate Firewalls, FortiOS, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer. • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, DNS, NAT, and network security principles. • Experience with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL). • Prior work experience in enterprise or BFSI environments preferred. Preferred Skills & Qualifications • Exposure to on-call rotation or managed security services. • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. • Experience working with global teams and stakeholders. Day-to-Day Responsibilities • Provide L2/L3 support for FortiGate firewalls in production, DR, and non-production environments. • Manage and support firewall policy configuration and optimization, NAT, VIPs, routing, access rules, and VPNs. • Ensure firewall configurations comply with enterprise security policies and BFSI regulatory requirements. • Support audits, vulnerability assessments, and firewall rule reviews. • Maintain accurate documentation, including network diagrams, rule matrices, and SOPs.
