Senior Offensive Security Engineer

Job Title - Senior Developer with Pen Test/Red Teaming Location - Toronto, ON, Canada (Hybrid preferred; downtown Toronto office. Remote candidates within Canada will also be considered) Role Type - Contract (6 months with potential extension) Must Have Skills: • Strong software development and complex engineering experience • Hands-on penetration testing expertise • Red teaming experience • Security tool development and automation • Experience with Burp Suite, Metasploit, and other offensive security tools Responsibilities and Job Details: • Design and develop custom security tools and automation solutions for penetration testing and vulnerability assessment activities • Solve complex engineering challenges requiring a blend of software development and cybersecurity expertise • Build integrations between security platforms and enterprise systems • Conduct comprehensive penetration tests across applications, infrastructure, and enterprise environments • Participate in red team exercises that simulate real-world attack scenarios and adversary tactics • Identify, validate, and document security vulnerabilities with actionable remediation recommendations • Collaborate closely with development, security, and infrastructure teams to strengthen security controls • Develop and maintain scripts, frameworks, and tooling that improve offensive security operations • Leverage industry-standard offensive security tools including Burp Suite, Metasploit, and similar platforms • Apply an attacker mindset to evaluate and improve organizational security posture • Communicate technical findings and risk assessments clearly to technical stakeholders • Contribute to Threat & Vulnerability Management initiatives and continuous security improvement efforts
