Full-Stack Engineer - Forward-Deployed (Remote)

Minerva was founded by Peter Zhu and Om Agarwal, who are building AI for accounting backed by Y Combinator. We automate the painful parts of finance and we're bringing that automation into traditional accounting firms we partner with and acquire. You'd be joining a small, fast team, and this is an early, high-ownership hire. This is a hybrid role: you'll build across our full stack and talk to the people you build it for. Half your week is shipping; the other half is meeting with those firms: sitting with their accountants and staff, learning how they actually work, onboarding them onto our tooling, troubleshooting live, and owning the relationship. What We Offer • $2,000–$4,000/mo USD, full-time (contract), depending on experience • A US, YC-backed startup on your resume and a front-row seat to how one gets built • Direct access to the founders and genuine ownership of your work • Direct access to US clients and perfect opportunity to grow customer skills • Room to grow fast - comp, scope, and leadership as we scale • Deep expertise in an uncrowded, valuable niche: AI applied to real accounting work What You'll Work On • Full-stack development across our web app, internal tooling, and data pipelines • Integrations with accounting and payroll systems (QuickBooks, ADP, etc) • AI/LLM features that do real accounting work • Dashboards and reporting that accountants rely on day to day • Serving as the main technical point of contact for a set of accounting firms - onboarding their teams, mapping their workflows, and supporting them directly You're a fit if • 2-4 years building full-stack (our stack: React/Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, Postgres) • Good spoken and written English - you'll be on calls with US-based accounting teams regularly • Comfortable working directly with non-technical accounting professionals - patient, clear, and good at turning messy real-world workflows into software • Bonus: any exposure to accounting, bookkeeping, or QuickBooks (not required - but you'll ramp faster) • Self-directed - you make real progress without being managed • Based in Latin America or India, with 4+ hours of daily overlap with US Pacific time We move quickly and respect your time.
