TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

You may qualify at the GS-GS-13 if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the 12 grade level in the Federal service: Providing analytic and technical expertise, assistance and oversight for implementation, integration and ongoing maintenance and improvement of logistics capabilities. Analyzing and resolving complex transportation issues and process improvements that enhance the program area. Evaluating requirements and issues that are important to providing logistics information critical to force projection, sustainment, redeployment, and end-to-end visibility of the distribution pipeline. Assisting management with all aspects with the mobility joint force provider for air refueling, air-lift and sea-lift. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
