The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 03/23/2026. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. GS-12: You qualify at the GS-12 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties: Coordinating local security program oversight for security disciplines, such as threat management, information security, operations security, administrative security, communications security, and physical security. Assisting in the development of written directives and standard operating procedures. Evaluating the effectiveness of existing security practices. Confirming that personnel comply with established security policies and procedures and recommending appropriate action to correct deficiencies. GS-13: You qualify at the GS-13 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties: Independently analyzing and resolving broad and complex security problems. Providing technical expertise in initiating and leading projects involving the evaluation of security programs and operations. Developing and implementing policy, standards, and procedures for security programs. Briefing senior leadership, making recommendations, and offering advice about security issues as they affect the organization.
