GS-12: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector: Demonstrates social media strategy experience, including creating and executing targeted communication campaigns across social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube; skilled in using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Sprout Social, Meltwater) to monitor trends, metrics, engagement, and reach, and leverage insights to optimize content; and Ability to create, edit, and manage complex digital content such as articles, presentations, videos, and graphics for diverse public and government audiences across multiple formats with Section 508 accessibility compliance; and Manages digital campaigns and outreach projects using project management principles, ensuring timely coordination across program offices and field locations with proper content review, approval processes, and federal compliance requirements (Paperwork Reduction Act, copyright); and Delivers presentations to senior leadership to gather stakeholder input, address disaster program goals and issues, and build consensus among differing viewpoints from federal, state, and local government partners. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Generally, time in Non-Pay status as a federal employee is not creditable towards the specialized experience requirement listed above. TIME-IN-GRADE: If you are a current career or career-conditional federal employee applying for promotion under Merit Promotion you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks in positions at the next lower grade level than the position being filled. All qualification requirements must be met by 11:59 pm (Eastern Time) on 05/28/2026.
