Paired is a global staffing and recruiting agency dedicated to connecting talented individuals with excellent remote job opportunities. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Preparation & Planning Analyst to join a well-established U.S.-based company. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing tax returns, conducting research, and assisting with tax planning strategies to ensure compliance and optimize tax outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tax Preparation:
    Prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals and corporations, ensuring compliance with all regulations and deadlines.
  • Tax Planning:
    Assist in developing and implementing tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize benefits for clients, with a focus on proactive planning.
  • Research:
    Conduct tax research and analysis to stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, providing insights on how they impact clients.
  • Client Communication:
    Liaise with clients to gather necessary documentation, explain tax strategies, and provide updates on tax-related matters.
  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with other finance professionals to coordinate tax services and ensure alignment with overall financial planning efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation, public accounting, or tax compliance.
  • Knowledge of federal and state tax regulations and laws.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts understandably.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • C.P.A. certification is a plus but not required.
