We are seeking a National Account Manager, responsible for driving profitable revenue growth across key national retail accounts including Walmart, major Canadian retailers, and strategic growth accounts. This role serves as the primary commercial leader for assigned accounts, owning sales performance, margin delivery, customer relationships, business development, and cross-functional execution. The National Account Manager will lead all aspects of account management, including annual line reviews, assortment planning, pricing strategy, promotional programs, inventory optimization, and omni-channel growth initiatives. The role requires strong collaboration with Operations, Supply Chain, Product Development, Design Studio, Marketing, and Finance to ensure exceptional customer service, profitable growth, and successful execution of category strategies. This position combines strategic account leadership with hands-on business management and is expected to identify and develop new opportunities that expand market share, drive category growth, and strengthen the companies position as a category leader. Key Responsibilities: National Account Management: Serve as the primary business owner for Walmart and assigned national retail accounts across the United States and Canada Develop and execute annual account plans that achieve revenue, margin, and market share objectives Establish and maintain strong relationships with merchants, category managers, procurement leaders, and senior customer executives Lead all customer-facing activities, including line reviews, business reviews, assortment presentations, and strategic planning sessions Negotiate annual programs, pricing agreements, promotional activity, and customer commitments that support profitable growth Business Development & Strategic Growth: Identify and secure new strategic retail accounts and channel opportunities for the portfolio Develop expansion strategies that increase distribution, category penetration, and market share Partner with executive leadership to evaluate and prioritize growth opportunities across existing and prospective customers Build business cases for new product introductions, category expansions, and channel development initiatives Financial & Profitability Management: Own revenue, gross margin, and profitability performance for assigned accounts. Manage all gross-to-net activities, including: Customer allowances Rebates Returns Promotional spending Customer discounts Marketing investments Monitor account profitability and recommend corrective actions to improve financial performance Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting Supply Chain & Operational Leadership: Partner closely with Operations and Supply Chain teams to ensure exceptional customer execution Monitor and improve key performance indicators, including: Fill rates On-time delivery Inventory productivity Forecast accuracy SKU-level profitability Lead account-level inventory planning and replenishment discussions Drive actions that reduce excess inventory, improve inventory turns, and optimize working capital Coordinate cross-functional responses to customer service, inventory, and supply chain challenges Product & Category Leadership: Partner with Marketing, Product Management, and the Design Studio to develop customer-specific growth strategies Identify whitespace opportunities and emerging consumer trends that can drive incremental sales Lead development of account-specific assortments and exclusive programs Champion innovation initiatives that create category differentiation and support retail growth objectives Drive new product introductions from concept through commercialization Omni-Channel Growth: Collaborate with customers and internal teams to strengthen omni-channel execution Support growth across e-commerce, marketplace, and brick-and-mortar channels Utilize consumer insights, digital analytics, and market trends to identify opportunities that increase category awareness and demand generation Ensure product assortments and content strategies are optimized for both physical and digital retail environments Pricing & Revenue Management: Develop and execute pricing strategies that balance competitiveness, profitability, and customer expectations Lead pricing negotiations and annual cost discussions Evaluate promotional effectiveness and return on investment Monitor market conditions, competitive pricing, and category trends to inform pricing decisions Qualifications: Required Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field 7+ years of national account management experience within consumer products, home décor, home improvement, DIY, or related categories Proven experience managing large national retail accounts, including Walmart and/or other major retailers Demonstrated success driving profitable sales growth and market share gains Experience leading customer negotiations, line reviews, and strategic business planning Preferred Experience: Experience in wall décor, home furnishings, DIY, home improvement, or adjacent consumer categories Experience working with Canadian retail customers Background in omni-channel retail and e-commerce strategies Experience managing customer P&Ls and gross-to-net profitability Critical Competencies: Strategic Account Management Business Development Financial Acumen Revenue & Margin Management Category Management Customer Negotiation Pricing Strategy Supply Chain Collaboration Product Development Leadership Cross-Functional Team Leadership Executive Presence Analytical Thinking Forecasting & Demand Planning All Candidates must be able to provide work related references.
